Pathways and Challenges for the Energy Transition

The Institute for a Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW) and the Helmholtz Cluster for a Sustainable and Infrastructure-compatible Hydrogen Economy (HC-H2) warmly invite you to attend the 14th »HC-H2 Science Spotlight«, featuring a talk by Dr. Frank-Detlef Drake, at 16:00 on the 11th of September 2024.

Dr. Drake is currently Managing Director of the E.ON Energy Research Center gGmbH and lecturer at the Institute of Power Plant Technology, Steam and Gas Turbines at RWTH Aachen University. In his talk on “Pathways and Challenges for the Energy Transition”, he will provide an overview of key measures as well as obstacles to realize the sustainable energy system of the future. The Helmholtz Cluster’s HC-H2 Science Spotlight event is a regular series of scientific lectures focusing on topics in the fields of sustainable hydrogen production, storage, and application. At each HC-H2 Science Spotlight event, an individual from the scientific community will present their area of research and speak about selected topics or projects. In the subsequent discussion with the audience, issues can be explored in greater depth and a light can be shed on the practical application of research results as well as their significance for the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy.
